How do You Like The Deluxe Etoile Isabel Marant Ouda Wyoming Sweater?

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

Are you a big Isabel Marant fan? Well, so is Isla Fisher. The actress was spotted sporting one of the designer’s creations while out and about in West Hollywood with her baby girl early this month – this piece called the Ouda Wyoming Sweater:

Etoile Isabel Marant Ouda Wyoming Sweater, USD398

How do you like it? The cut is very classic – crew neck, longsleeves, and ribbed cuffs and hem, can you appreciate?

It’s somewhat Nordic inspired mixed with a little bit of Idaho flavor, but it’s actually more Old West in design. Marant drew inspiration from the cowboy state and used heavy knit to create her line of sweaters for the season. If you like it, you can find this pullover at Barneys. You can also try this patterned cardi as an alternative:

We Heart the Heart Isle Sweater from Free People, Do You?

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Here’s another sweater we’re loving so dearly – this fresh and fab number from Free People called the “Heart Isle”. This one is definitely not your typical Nordic knit. The pattern alone can even be mistaken for Ikat from a distance. Up close however, you’ll understand why it was dubbed with such a name – it comes with a band of hearts on it that are really cute. And even more fabulous is the fact this gorgeous pullover comes with a sexy asymmetrical silhouette to show off one shoulder:

What do you think? Would you “heart” this shoulder baring number? We’re seriously coveting it. Who’d have thought a sweater could look so sexy, right?

The price for this cozy topper isn’t too bad either – an attainable USD108. If you want it as much as we do, you can find it at Shopbop. Wear it this fall and even all the way through winter. Use it over your skinny jeans and boots, and top it with your favorite scarf. Enjoy!

Sweater Crush: The A.L.C Lottie Sweater Dress

Sunday, September 30, 2012

I think I have officially fallen for A.L.C. It happened the moment I laid my eyes on this gorgeous sweater from their fall line-up. Isn’t it pretty? I love the patterned yoke, and more importantly, the pattern itself is gorgeous. The lotus like shape gives it a very unique appearance:

A.L.C. Lottie Sweater, USD495

The “Lottie” is made of soft brushed alpaca blend and comes in a slightly slouchy silhouette that makes it ideal for topping over any fall outfit. The neutral pattern also makes it very wearable and less of a traditional knit only meant to be worn during the holidays.

Sigh…I seriously wish I could afford it. It retails at a pricey USD495 so it’s definitely out of my range. But if you’re loving this beauty from A.L.C. and you can afford, purchase it on Shopbop. Enjoy!

Ben Affleck Rocks a Nordic Knit at the San Sebastian International Film Festival

Monday, September 24, 2012

Seen Ben Affleck lately? The actor was actually spotted attending the San Sebestian International Film Festival held in Spain last week. And get this, he cleaned up quite nicely for the event; dressing up and looking rather dapper in checkered trousers and a shawl collared Nordic sweater:

Not bad for someone who usually wears jeans and t-shirts, right? Plus, we’re loving the pattern on pattern combination (sweater on trousers). It proves he doesn’t mind trying new things.

Now speaking of pattern, the one on his sweater actually looks very unique. Sadly we don’t have any information on the topper yet, but for the guys out there who’d like to channel Ben’s style here (or for the lady who’s itching to give her man a make-over), try these combos we’ve put together. You can shop for these at Nordstrom:

A Little Bit of Nordic Inspiration: Jack By BB Dakota Far Off Village Coat

Friday, September 14, 2012

This topper isn’t exactly what you’d call a Nordic knit; however, it does offer a similar look and a vintage-inspired one at that; which is why we thought it would be good to share it with you today. Check out the Far Off Village Coat from Jack by BB Dakota. This lovely hooded number comes with a multicolored print that will literally remind you so much of your favorite Nordic sweater:
