Swingy Sweater from Kensie Girl! Would You Wear It?

Thought I’d share with you this precious little find I came across while browsing through Amazon today. I believe it’s meant for teen girls but because I am petite and small enough, I sometimes actually find myself browsing through this section, hoping to discover a treasure.

Have a look at this cute sweater from Kensie Girl. The minute I saw it, it immediately reminded me of a swing coat. Elements like those flared bell-like sleeves and that cowl neckline made me think of the topper and how the this multicolored knit captured the style so nicely:

It’s not your usual kind of pullover, that’s for sure. Even the colors used are non-traditional. It is however, quite versatile so you won’t be limited to wearing it only during winter. And like I said, the silhouette, which follows the A pattern of a swing coat, makes it easy to wear. If you’re short enough, you might even be able to wear it as a tunic!

Dylan O’Brien: Snazzy in a Sweater for Sundance

If you watch Teen Wolf, then you probably know Dylan O’Brien, the kid who plays side kick and best friend to Tyler Posey’s wolf character. Off the small screen however, Dylan is actually the male lead in the teen romance movie, The First Time, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last month. Dylan, along with the rest of the cast, not only attended the screening but joined several side events as well. In fact, he was spotted looking quite dapper in a blue fur trimmed Nordic sweater while joining the portrait session during Day 2 of the fest:

He definitely doesn’t look like a side kick in that photo, does he? The dark blue Nordic topper gave his T-shirt and chinos ensemble a more dressed up vibe.

Now we currently don’t have any information on Dylan’s fur trimmed sweater, but if you want the man in your life to copy the look he pulled here, simply give him a dark t-shirt, some khaki pants, and let him top it with any of the knits below:

Shenae Grimes: Nordic Knit Off Cam

Do you watch 90210? Every now and then, whenever I catch it on TV, I do. I also find one of the show’s leads, Shenae Grimes, quite the cutie. On cam, she’s always dolled up of course, but check out her off-cam look here. I’m guessing these were taken in between takes, or probably right before the shoot:

You could say she definitely put together an interesting outfit, don’t you think?

Clearly, she must have come straight from the gym, but pairing her work-out wear with vintage looking loafers and a Nordic patterned sweater made the whole outfit look well…weird. Of course, I don’t want to nitpick, nor do I want to be mean, so I’m just going to go ahead and say that maybe, just maybe, she was in the process of dressing up and right in the middle of it, decided to grab something to eat.

Now if you analyze her outfit, the sweater and her loafers could actually work together since both look very traditional. Had she worn it with the right bottom (skirt, shorts, trousers, or whatnot), she might have looked a whole lot better.

Just for fun, here are two outfits I put together with Shenae’s sweater and shoes in mind. Of course, since I don’t exactly have any information yet on Shenae’s sweater, I included some Nordic inspired pieces instead:

Retro Nordic Prep – Option 1

Charcoal & Brown

With Shenae’s tan colored retro shoes, you can do a classic ensemble by pairing it with charcoal shorts, a silk white button down (with sleeves folded up), and topping it with a muted brown Nordic inspired sweater. Keep the collar displayed instead of under the sweater. Make sure you wear some nice ankle high socks to give your look a girly twist.

Retro Nordic Prep – Option 2

A Touch of Bright

For the second option, you can channel Shenae but give the look a little bit of extra by using a bright yellow shirt. Pair it with navy shorts and a classic black n’ white Nordic inspired sweater to tone down the pop of color. Don’t forget to wear ankle socks with those vintage looking tan loafers to keep the whole style looking polished

Drew Barrymore: Nordic Cutie

There are people blessed with cuteness that transcends age, time, and make-up. Drew Barrymore is one of ‘em. It’s like the blonde actress has not aged or has only aged so little. And yes, she still looks cute, even at 36. And here’s the thing, even when she’s not dolled up or made up, that cuteness is still there…doesn’t go away.

Take for example, this photo of her taken last month. The A-lister was spotted running errands with her fiancé in West Hollywood and as you can see, even in a casual outfit with just a hint of lipstick, she still looks…well…cute:
