Do you like raiding your boyfriend’s or hubby’s closet for stuff to wear?

I confess, I do. I’ve done it many many times. While my husband’s jeans are a tad too big to be called “boyfriend jeans”, his button down shirts (in white and denim) are the ones I love using. Now it looks like I’ll be adding one more item to the list of stuff I borrow from him – sweaters. This idea came up after seeing Hallie of Hallie Daily wear a men’s J.Crew sweater with a cute and short girly skirt and patterned pointy boots. Check her out below:

I’ll definitely be taking a cue from this style of hers. And that sweater is truly gorgeous, yes? Who’d have thought she got that from the men’s department!? I love the bits of red on the pattern. I also like how fresh the pattern looks; there’s none of the traditional reindeer stuff.  It’s a piece from J. Crew if you’re interested. The Deep Navy is currently on sale on their website:

Now I’m not sure yet if my guy has a similar topper in his closet, but just in case I don’t find one in there, I might just grab this really preppy number from Topman that is currently on sale at Nordstrom. I’ll pair it with a black pleated mini skirt and tights, then finish it with boots:

5 Cute Must-Grab Nordic Jumpers from ASOS

Whenever I go through Brit online shopping site ASOS, I would get really excited, and then end up feeling so bad because I can’t afford to buy all the stuff I want (just like a kid put in a huge candy store then being told to taste just one or two candies). Bummer, right?

Anne Hathaway Keeps It Chic in Boy-Meets-Girl Style Post ‘Les Miserables’ (and Crotch Incident)

After the “crotch” incident that happened during the Les Miserables New York premiere early this week (December 10), Anne Hathaway was spotted leaving her apartment with some luggage in tow. Whether she was off to a quick getaway after all the promotion (and commotion), or simply heading to another premiere overseas, we’re not exactly sure. But one thing we do know is that she looked pretty chic in her boy-meets-girl bon voyage style.

Anne wore a multi-tonal sweater over some skinny jeans and capped it off with Converse kicks. An oversized jacket pulled it all together, while signature celebrity sunnies kept her eyes from the peering paparazzi. The look was so cool we were basically dying to copy it. Here’s what we came up with using our favorite sweater:

Lana Del Rey Keeps Warm in a Patterned Coat While Campaigning for H&M in Europe, Do You Like Her Look?

Spotted – Lana Del Rey constantly keeping warm in a patterned fur trimmed coat while campaigning for H&M in Europe. The singer, who is currently the Swedish label’s new face, didn’t wear her usual beehive hairstyle, but she did keep on sporting the mysterious patterned coat, from England, to Paris, and all the way to Germany:

What do you think of Lana’s patterned coat? She seems to love pairing it with jeans too. Can you appreciate her look? Or do you find it too frumpy? And speaking of that coat, any idea who made it?

We’re guessing it’s probably from H&M’s holiday collection, which she is currently promoting. We checked the H&M website but couldn’t find it though. So you might have to head to the store to personally grab it if you want it. No word on the price either but expect it to run below USD300.
